iOS version submitted to Apple

Postby adpag » Sat Jan 17, 2015 2:25 pm

iOS version 1.0.0 has been submitted to Apple for approval. The app is now waiting for review and it will typically be 9 or 10 days until we get the result. This is just the first version as we still have things like the new physics, rolling ball display, gold and custom balls, operator's manual, the low and medium views, and more to come. The priority now will be to get the first Android release ready, then the desktop versions.

I don't give a sh*t about iOS. I'm glad that a tiny fraction of the whole market is being served first. Good luck with your next kickstarter.

@Huggybaby: I don't care for iOS either but I think you underestimate the market... just recently I saw an article about game sales from the Devs of "Monument Valley"
https://twitter.com/ustwogames/status/5 ... 2111203329
-> https://static1.squarespace.com/static/ ... rmat=1000w
It basically says that over 80% of their sales have been on iOS even though the game is cross platform (well Android anyways).
It might not be representative but it certainly seems that the iOS market is where the money is, so it was probably a wise decision to start there from a business view.
Also the progress made there will translate over to other platforms and is getting them all closer to their initial release.

I know it probably was not an easy decision to make at exactly what point a first commercial release should happen and I hope the timing is right and that still missing features will not backfire and leave an unfinished impression with customers.
Your mother ate my dog! :-)

When they asked who was testing, there was loads of activitiy in the iOS section. The buzz on the forum suggests to me that it is a large market.

Ugh, I can't take anymore waiting!

Ah well. I'll have Addams Family next month.
