Perhaps physical mail will get a reply?

I've been digging around, trying to find any way to contact Barnstorm that might get a reply. I did stumble across their company registration info, complete with names and addresses of all the "officers" of the company:

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/comp ... 0/officers

Do you think a postal note/letter of some sort would garner an actual reply and answer to the status of the Kickstarter, Pro Pinball the series, or even the company itself? They're still listed as active, but it does seem they've gone into hiding...

If they are not interested in answering emails or forum posts, I doubt that they will be any more interested in writing a letter.

Hello everyone!

I think it's all about the money alone. Of course - they have set the costs too low.
50 thousand pounds from kickstarter - that's not much to run a company.

From my point of view, the only way to communicate with barnstorm is to give up all claims that are still open. a company needs legal certainty.

At this point, a new financing would be needed.
Hey, when I write that, I'm really serious.
the ultra versions are worth more to me. More than what I put in kickstarter. but for another kickstarter attempt everyone would have to decide for themselves.

In summary, I think it is necessary for the community to be together and to support the company we are expecting something from.

You may be right, Robi, but it would be unfair to the people who paid for more than just a digital copy of the game. (I only paid for the PC copy and golden ball). I don't think they would be all willing to give up their claims although a free copy of a next installment in the Ultra series would ease their pain a bit.

I don't see Barnstorm start a new successful kickstarter (like) campaign but personally I would still be willing to pre pay for a digital copy of a new game.

I pledged at the "all Pro Pinball games ever to be released on any plaform ever" level, that also included quite a few physical rewards that I was looking forward to.

However any further development (new BRUSA :-) ) would mean more to me than those physical rewards.

It's really sad to have witnessed how this went downhill and it would be quite surprising if they were ever able to run another successfully funded KS now unless they really showed how/why things would be different that next time around.

Personally I still don't hold a grudge, I'm just disappointed and sad... the prospects of seeing PP come back to life were like christmas/birthday/hoorray combined for me... a dream to hold on to...

I'm not really angry that they underestimated the work involved, ran out of cash or whatever happened. I am sad that we will probably never see what they were going to do with the physics and some of the other enhancements promised along the way (analogue nudge for cabinets would be brilliant). What I am a little bitter about is the way that all updates just stopped and that was that. I think we are owed an explanation really (not to mention boxed copies and merchandise).

that barnstorm doesn't answer anymore and writes what's going on, I suspect contractual consequences with kickstarter. there are few but angry backers who write that they complain to kickstarter.
but let's put this aside.

i think all backers agree: we want Pro Pinball.
and the fact that insisting on it, without financial means is hopeless, we all know that.

maybe we can reach the backers and join forces. no one should simply forget their demands (after new funding). but what is clear is that there has to be renewed funding.
which is also clear: there can only be money if we find out what's going on and get a clear confession for more transparency.

maybe it is possible that all backers get in touch and support this idea?

I personally wouldn't back another Kickstarter from Barnstorm, unless they can somehow prove that they will handle things differently. Getting in touch has been fruitless, and I've tried multiple avenues (including contacting Silver Castle, the makers of the physical table).

But I urge others to bombard them with emails if you think it'll help. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?
