Timings update

Postby Ade » Mon Nov 11, 2013 1:02 pm

You may already have read the latest Kickstarter update: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/500643708/pro-pinball-timeshock-the-ultra-edition-0/posts/658360

But if you haven't, I'm sorry to say it is highly unlikely that we'll be able to release the game in December as we'd hoped, due to the time it's taking to render the very high resolution final graphics.

Thank you for your support and understanding, we are doing all we can to get this to you as quickly as we can without compromising on quality.

Like you said, it has been 10 years so I'm sure most of us will be happy to wait. The renders look incredible, especially the drill holes for the flippers :)

How is the physics engine side of things coming along?

No waiting a little longer
It's all ok in the end, if it's not ok. It's not the end

To be honest, the physics have had to take a back seat for a while whilst we looked at ways to speed up the rendering. So the first Alpha (and possibly Beta) builds will only have the original physics to begin with.

Original T! physics or original FJ physics?

As long as there are information on what is happening behind the scenes, I really have no problem at all to wait for as long as it takes to get the final product out.

The roadmap for the physics is: Original T! physics (currently up and running), then original FJ physics, then that will be enhanced until we have ULTRA physics.

The first Alpha build will definitely have the original T! physics, exactly at which point we'll include the FJ physics and the ULTRA physics remains to be seen.

Thanks for the heads up! Quality takes time, so I'll happily wait for as long as it takes.

As others have said, I'd much rather you took the time to make it perfect. And keeping us all informed goes a long way towards keeping us happy (not to mention drooling with anticipation :P )
