First, by having 3D in the game, I myself won't like it if the camera zooms or pans on its own. I would just want the fact that I could set the precise angle I want to look at the table.
Second, why photorealistic? Wasnt the old Timeshock so realistic that it blew everyones minds away? The graphics where awesome like that and I feel that the graphics of the current version of the game can also be like that without the need of pre rendering everything.
As said, a little research would be awesome here to specifically see which differences of the pre rendered version are seen by players in comparison to a real-time 3d version with current 3d-engines used for it with all their lightning and shadow effects and such.
