From what I've read, they made a simulation of it to see how it would play so it was just a part of the design process. Not quite the same thing but technically yes, a simulation that became a real machine.

That´s a TON of progress already! Didn´t expect this to be so far along already. It was definitely a good idea to wait until enough information is ready. When I read about "turning it into a real machine" during the Kickstarter I thought this was just going to be one of these crowdfunding pipe dreams.

I somehow started thinking: Why render the table digitally at all when you can just BUILD the whole thing and take hi-res photos of every single state?

And man, those whitewoods with the elements placed look sexy as hell. I bet you would have never guess that this would someday become a reality when you first worked on Timeshock, right?

Also reading about the challenges that need to be overcome was really interesting.
Are there any plans to retrofit the changes that were required (like the ramp diverter or the slightly changed w-A-R-p targets ) back into the simulation?
