Offline installation - cabinet - kickstarter version

Hi there!

I tried to install the newest windows kickstarter version V 1.2.3 on my offline cabinet.... and I failed  because timeshock wants to connect to the internet ("account" etc.)...

1) Is there a way to install it offline - with NO internet connection? (I didn´t plan to bring my cab online.... ) (if it absolutely necessary, I will connect it somehow... for this beautiful table)

2) Is there a good "complete" guide how to install everything on the cab?

Big thx, regards ;)

Any hints if it is possible to install kickstarter version without going online?

I bought a w-lan-stick for 9 € and installed kickstarter-version.
After that I removed the stick again.
I just use the stick when I get a global highscore...

Not a good method but I think it's the only one to get Timeshock run atm. because you'll need the resolution download once.

Hi Chris!

Thx for the answer! :D

9€ - that would be okay... maybe it is also easier for Cab maintainance (download some real DMD videos, wheels etc. - instead of working with a USB stick all the time  )...

Do you have some security software on your Cab (anti-virus, firewall, etc.)...) It would be nice to spare those things in order to have a nice and "small' windows OS

I don't bother with anything other than the Windows firewall. I'm not surfing the web or getting emails on it.

Hm... I don't use antivirus or firewall to keep windows and RAM small... I never wanted to run my cab online.
But for Timeshock I unfortunately had to do it. But I hope for this few minutes there won't be a hack... :(
(But I saved my complete system in a good backup file, so my fear is a bit smaller now)

I followed the following method provided by Ade and could install it without going online.

"You should be able to copy the full Pro Pinball directory across and the new exe, then copy UserDefault.xml from your user's AppData\Local\ProPinball directory to the corresponding directory on the cabinet. That should make the game see you as signed in and find the graphics data."

One problem is that I can't install the 1920 resolution pack on my desktop - probably because the on-board GPU doesn't provide this.
I could download 1800 (and 2160) and it is possible to play but I assume 1920 will improve the image quality..
Tried downloading the package directly : http://download.pro-pinball.com/ultra/g ... 0_1920.zip extracted the zip in /ProPinballUltra/extra_data/timeshock/low/ and copied the
"installed" file from the 1800_1800_4096 directory.
The 1900 resolution is then available in the graphics menu but the program hangs in 'loading' step after trying to play the table.
