I may have figured out my problem.

The kickstarter link gave me a download to 1.2.0, looks like real DMD support didnt come along until 1.2.1?? I bought 1.2.2 from steam but cant get it to work either.

Where'd that hammer go? :)

And to compound my fun... In order to have the Steam version usable I need to have Steam open and up on the desktop. The game will execute via the bat file thats posted here and steam will ask me if I meant to open the game with the arguments and I have to click "open game."

This cant be right.

In Steam, right-click Pro Pinball Ultra, properties, set launch options. There you put your command line parameters and Steam won't be snapping at you.

As a general note, if you don't describe exactly what happens and what's expected to happen, we can only take wild guesses about your problem. Take some time, describe in detail what you have done and the results.

FWIW, you should have got a kickstarter backer link to 1.2.1 on 21st July.

So when you run Pro Pinball, you'll see a command line window pop up where it prints what dmdext does, right? What's in that window?
