Looks very good.
Is the DMD moveable in this view?

Just to let you know that I have to stand about 5 feet back from my mini cab (and be about 7 feet tall) for this view to look fairly natural. I imagine it will be different for everyone, will there eventually be selectable distortion levels?

Same for me. I loaded the image in Fullscreen on the PF monitor. It shows as way too stretched/distorted at the top and very unnatural. Ball seems way to small at bottom - marble like.
As some people use cab view with two screens on a desk so if it can be adjusted by the user that would be ideal. My friend has a monitor wall mounted at his desk which he rotates on a bracket. Above that he has another monitor wall mounted for the back glass. I have seen others with that kind if setup in forums.
Cheers

We will need to add controls to adjust the view, the current version is just a starting point.
I found this on my hard drive, which is a bit less extreme:

I just did a test in the cabinet, and that view looks really good to me. Although there isn't a ball shown in the 2nd screenshot, by flipping between the first image with a ball and the second I can see that the second is 'zoomed in' a lot closer to the bottom of the playfield and by looking at the size increase of the playfield parts near the bottom of the table, and knowing he ball would also be larger (using a similar ratio) I think the ball would be true to the size of a real pinball table when viewed on a 42" playfield (which closely resembles a reall pin in terms of scale). The ball size in a cabinet view is a crucial thing to get right and I think this view is a great start.

This game is going to have everything! OK, so it will have everything I could wish for. I don't have fancy feedback and flasher type stuff in my mini cab.

Is there an ETA for the cabinet update? I just downloaded the game thinking it had cabinet support from steam and come to find out it's still being worked on... bummer... however I appreciate all your hard work and will wait patiently like all the other cabinet owners... thanks again! any future ETAs or any info would be great!!
