Sound / Speaker Setup - Options for Cabinets

hey barnstorm,
I was wondering what sound options the PC/cab version will offer.
Most Cabinets have a car amplifier with stereo + subwoofer (PC soundcard) for Music SFX
and
TV speakers (HDMI) for playfield and mechanical sounds.

I hope the new ultras will support a multichannel mode (5.1 or 7.1), as this is standard on most PCs.
this would allow for great sound positioning and better immersion imo.

I designed may cab like this (not the classic 2x stereo way):

Hope you can consider this an set another standard.
The first Timeshock already had dolby sourround!

I had been thinking this setup would be good, but did wonder if anyone would actually make use of it. It should be easy enough to provide as an option.

Yes, if it is no hassle please go for it.
Based on the reaction I got in the VP forums I might be the only cab user on the planet to use it though ;)

It will definitely have the best ball rolling sound. Something that can't be had as real sound with force feedback solutions :D

It definitely is future proof and both solutions can be wired with it.
Another advantage is that such speaker systems are relatively cheap to have on eBay. Easy to salvage...

I have 2 speakers in the back box and a subwoofer in the cabinet. I am always for more options if possible.
Any kind of timeframe on cabinet version?
Will the cabinet version fill the playfield screen? The iOS perspective does not fill it presumably in order to get the dmd in view.
Thanks
