Randomly logged off

Postby Fildron » Mon Sep 30, 2013 11:51 am

I keep getting logged off randomly. Sometimes right after I go to the Board Index I find myself logged off. Sometimes it happens after I browse a bit. I have cookies enabled so I'm a bit clueless of why this happens.
Anybody else suffers this problem, too?

Sorry the forum is not staying logged in for you.

What Browser are you using to view the forum? Do you have another browser you can try?

I'm using Firefox 24.

The log off right after log-in is reproduceable - when I click on the "Return to index" link it shows me as logged in down below but I don't see the Logout button, control panel, extra forums etc. However, when I clicked on the "back"-button and then on the "the information is invalid" page the resend-button it showed me logged in again.

edit: Seems to be some state in between. It show's me online in "who's online". The log off happened again right after posting this.

After a successful login a confirmation screen is shown. This screen then automatically forwards to the board index by default.
If you come from https://pro-pinball.com/forum without a 3rd-level-label it won't work as expected because the redirection sends you to the www subdomain (https://www.pro-pinball.com/forum).
It won't work to log in on https://pro-pinball.com/ and get a login session for https://www.pro-piball.com/.

Would you kindly take care of this issue, please ? Thanks. :)

I'm on firefox 27.0.1. I've never experienced this.

The topic title is not correct anymore. It's not about being logged off - because I'm not. The issue is being redirected to a subdomain on which I didn't log in. When I manually edit the address back to https://pro-pinball.com/forum after the redirection to https://www.pro-pinball.com/forum I am logged in.

That's because you're likely not using the secure protocol (https) otherwise you should get that bahavior as well. If not your browser is broken.

Why don't you just start from https://www.pro-pinball.com/forum/?
That's what I do.

Yeah, as a workaround.

Oh. I just type "pro" in the address bar and grab https://www.pro-pinball.com/forum from the history.
