Are they more effective as well? I have to test that out. So far, I've felt the up nudge to be about the same strength as in the original.

I've only played a few "nudgeable" games (now that I have my preferred key config back :D ), but the bangbacks seem much more pronounced to me in this version. I really need the "low" viewing angle to be able to make better side-by-side comparisons.

Bit dissappointed here. Stuttering in all but "low" settings. ONE CPU core maxed out, rest is idling - so I suspect bad to no multi-threading capability of the game?
What are the recommended specs to run the game in beautiful?

Game is running great on my ancient PC! :D

I had a lot of fun playing it and especially with playing around with the operator's menu. While the menu was available in the 1997 original, there was really no way to make use ofall the switch tests and stuff without having access to a glass-off mode. Now in the ultimate edition, you can go to the solenoid test and eject a ball from the trough and grab it with the mouse. Then you can move it around on the playfield and make sure that all your switches are working correctly. Nothing worse than a pinball machine with a stuck switch. :P

For even more realisms, in a future release you could have switches, solenoids and lights break down randomly, requiring the "operator" to fix them

Two bugs I reported during the beta are still there though, they may have already been posted in this thread but I'm gonna list them just in case:
  • No way to exit the game except Alt+F4
  • After signing in, going to MY ACCOUNT and then back will give you a black screen.

One thing I've been wondering about the leaderboard, how does it handle submitting the scores? Is it possible to play while logged in but not connected to the internet and have the scores uploaded the next time you're online, or do you have to finish a game while online in order to have it submitted?

Edit: just remembered another feature idea/suggestion:
- add keyboard menu navigation?

I agree, this is a must. Two other things:

  • It would be nice to see more than 4 scores at once on the leaderboards especially because
  • Scrolling through the leaderboards is quite slow, cumbersome and doesn't work with the scroll wheel.

The new sliders are perfect. Thanks for adding them since the last beta.

If the menus could also function rotated like the table, that would be good.
Ball rolling sounds would also be good.

Very good point, cosmic sea!!

Cabinets are usually not online... so If I want to send a highscore to the leaderboard: Is it possible to connect the internet while playing to send it?

[EDIT] Ah... it works :-) I just started WI-FI while playing and my score is online...

Oh my god, I cannot wait to see my RealDMD showing the animations!!!

It is an improved beta just for the backers. if you pledged you got an email with the download link.
the official steam version will be relased later... I wouldn't have high hopes for 2015 (or even 2016  )
